Well, as it turns out we know someone who live in this great city : Dad’s cousin’s cousin Lise, who we met during our stay in Belliveau Cove back in October. Since we were in town, Lise had offered to take us out to brunch and show us around the city, and we agreed. We went for brunch

at a little place called Café Ça Va, which was very nice and they had great food. I even got a hot chocolate with latte art on top. Very fancy. After I ate my omelette and everyone else finished

chatting, we headed back to the campground to let Kizzy out, and then we followed Lise to her apartment in English Bay. We went inside with her for a quick peek and then headed down to the water and the ferry terminal so we could be shuttled across to our destination, Granville Island. On the island we

headed over to check out the floating houses before going into the Granville Public Market to look around the stalls. They had some neat stuff, and a lot of food. Lise bought some very tasty olives and I got some rice wrapped in grape

leaves. For lunch, I chose pirogies which were served to me by my new favourite German guy. He was quite hilarious. Lise also recommended a certain lemon meringue pie to us for dessert, and it was indeed delicious. Our parking was running out by the time we finished eating, so we headed back to the ferry terminal to catch a ride back across the harbour. We said goodbye to Lise at her apartment, made loose plans to have dinner with her before we left, and headed back to the trailer where we relaxed for the night. Peace out m8s.
