We were given some recommendations for things to do in Victoria from Karen, so we chose today to cross a couple items off the list. The first thing we did when we got out of the trailer in the morning was head over to Oak Bay Marina where you can feed the seals. We bought a bag of herring from the gift store and headed down the dock where the seals were already hanging out, waiting for the food to come their way. The seals were super cute and I was particularly fond of the one who hid a couple feet under the water

because he was shy and the other seals kept stealing the food people threw to him. I managed to feed him by coaxing him out of the water so it was all good. You had to throw the fish in right away, though, because the seagulls were very aggressive. Mum had one cut her with it’s beak when it stole the piece of herring she was holding out of her hand. Our next stop was Russell Books, which is supposed to be the best used book store in town. On the way there, we

stopped to buy some Polysporin for Mum’s cut and to go to yet another teahouse, Oaks Restaurant & Tea Room, for lunch. I wasn’t hungry so I just ordered a drink, but this place was much nicer than the James Bay tearoom. We then continued on our way to Russell Books, which was a full three stories of books and only books. I ended up buying four new ones : Beyonders - A World Without Heroes by Brandon Mull, The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan, The Boy In Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne, and The Lord of the Flies by William Golding. None of them are very big and I’ve already read two of them, but it’s always nice to add to my collection. It was getting late by the time and we didn’t want to be late for Captain America; Civil War, we got out of the book shop so we headed home for a light dinner. We headed right for the movie after we ate and it was quite amazing if I do say so myself. Team Cap all the way. Peace out m8s.
