Here we come Canada, and goodbye United States, for the next year probably. The original plan was to catch the 2:00pm ferry, which wouldn’t be as rushed but would get us into Victoria quite a bit later. Minds were changed, however, meaning that I was up at 6:00am to help with the final stages of packing up the trailer and we were off at twenty to 7:00am so that we could catch the

8:20am ferry instead. We made the boat with no trouble and I spent the hour long trip doing homework. The boat also had wifi, which was pretty cool. We pulled

off the ferry into Victoria at about 10:00am and got in line to go through customs. Our trailer was flagged for a search, so we had to pull off to the side while the boarder guard went through everything. They didn’t seem to find anything illegal, so we were on our way as soon as possible. Our campground was right on the water, across from the Victoria Harbour, and, after a little trouble backing the trailer in, we set up with no further complications. Once we were set up, we walked up a couple block to the Timmy’s for

some lunch. After we ate, we hopped in the truck and went for a drive around Victoria. Mum used to live here, just for one year when she was a teenager, so she showed us around James Bay, the area where she used to live. We then parked and went for a walk along the Ogden Point Breakwater, which is quite long and apparently didn’t have any guardrails when Mum lived there. We had a good time before heading back to the trailer. I helped make dinner and then we hung out for the rest of the evening. Peace out m8s.
