The Incident

The drive down to Portland began this morning. The drive was almost six hours long, which is, of course, longer when you happen to be towing a trailer like we are. The truck had a little trouble near the end of the trip when the bug guard came loose, and Dad had to pull over to take it off, but other than that the trip was normal. Boring, as usual. I did a lot of math homework and watched two and a half movies : Mean Girls, A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1. Set up at the campground went pretty smoothly, except the backpack wasn’t zipped up properly when I swung it out of the truck and the HP laptop fell out onto the cement. It fell, of course, right on the corner which cracked the screen. Dad was a tad pissed off, gave Isaac and I a stern talking to, and forbade us from using the Mac until he saw fit because these are things Dad does when he’s mad. He took Isaac and I to Best Buy after dinner to see about getting the laptop fixed, but it wasn’t possible while we were travelling. We did get a copy of The Force Awakens though, so that made it better since I’ve been wanting to see it again since I saw it the first time. All in all, the day was ok, despite the incident. Life lesson of the day, by Natasha : Make sure your bag is zipped properly when carrying expensive electronics. Peace out m8s.
