Sonya's Blog - Day 272 - March 20th - Driving to Salt Lake City

We had a slow start to our day, as per Blake's request. Blake had told Isaac that there was an Easter Egg hunt for the kids at 10 AM and said he could partake in that. We wanted to be all packed up, prior to that, so we could leave right when it was over. We got it all done, not by 10, but I just sent Isaac over to the main office to see what was going on. Well he must not have asked the right questions, because he came back at 10:45 and told us the Easter Egg hunt is next Saturday, which makes sense, since that is Easter Long weekend. So that was a waste of time and we didn't get on the road until after 11.

We go through the mountains to get to Salt Lake City and Virgin River Gorge is very cool. I tried to get some pictures:

We are going to arrive in Salt Lake City quite late, so not a very exciting day. We were going to stay for 3 nights, but think it will only be 2 nights now. It is going to be rainy and chilly on Tuesday, so we may as well just drive on that day, since we won't want to do any hiking or anything. This should get us into Calgary on Wednesday evening, which will be fine.
