German Stuff

We went into the German town of Fredericksburg today, on recommendation from a lot of people. The drive was pretty long and pretty boring, but how does that differ from other drives really? We walked around the town for a while when we got in and parked. Mum and I went in a few of the cooler looking stores during our search for a restaurant where we could stop for lunch. I bought a couple of bracelets in the one store. I mean, I like jewelry but seriously, it’s so expensive. Eventually we came across a decent looking place with an outdoor patio that Kizzy was aloud on. I ordered some schnitzel for my lunch because I haven’t had German

food in a while and this seemed like to the place to eat it. I didn’t end up finishing all my food but the schnitzel was quite good and so was the cabbage, but I wouldn’t recommend sweet and sour potatoes. Not a great flavour if you ask me. After we all finished eating and Kizmet crunched up her final ice cube, we walked back the way we had come on the other side of the street. We ended up coming across a library that had once been a really neat house so we popped in to take a look. The inside was much less impressive than the outside, just

your average public library, although with some pretty impressive wooden staircases at the back. I hung around there for a while and read a bit of Eragon while the others ran across the street to the bathroom. Then we continued to walk up and down the streets, looking in stores and such. We bought some spreads and sauces from this great store that was literally one giant taste-testing booth. I picked out a pecan honey butter, Isaac got strawberry truffle peanut butter (which is disgusting, sorry Isaac) and cherry butter, and Mum bought some coconut mango sauce. I probably could have spent a whole day in that store, just trying everything. We eventually grew tired of walking and hopped back in the truck for our drive back. Peace out m8s.
