Ah, Fishing. Wonderful

Wow so we’re going deep sea fishing which is something I really never thought I’d be doing but here we are. The drive over to the dock is about half an hour and the boat left at 9:30am, so we had to get up a little earlier in order to make it. On the way there we discovered the Sirius XM is doing a temporary David Bowie channel, so we listened to it all the way there. We got on the boat almost right away and we were off. It took about an hour for us to get out to our first fishing destination so I amused

myself by doing lots of math homework. Very entertaining. I should let you know that our family has never had much luck when it comes to fishing and that held true this time as well. I swear, the family next to us was catching something or other

every second time they put their lines in but we didn’t even get a solid bite until the third stop. I managed to catch the largest fish of the day but I gave up a while after that since, by that point, nothing was biting for anyone. I also got a little hungry since the only hand washing station available on board was a tub full of live bait so there was no way I was going to be eating out of my hands. I read for last couple hours or so, near the end of the trip when it was starting to rain. The two most exiting catches of the day happened to be a small shark, which they kept to use for crab bait, and an eel, which was thrown back it after it tried to bite three people. Good times. Well, it was good to hang out with Dad all day but this trip just helped in reinforcing my opinion that fishing is really not something I will ever enjoy doing. Peace out m8s.
