We Are Twenty One Pilots And So Are You
Happy Birthday to Tyler Joseph, thanks for existing. Today is probably the most anticipated day of my life. Today is the day in which I shall go to a Twenty Øne Piløts concert. And it shall be amazing. But first, however, we decided to head off to the Aquarium as our last quest with the cousins. It was okay, but there was a really long walk between buildings and it was quite expensive to get in. I spent
most of the time with Mum walking around the exhibit. There we some sharks and turtles and there was also a really large Komodo Dragon which you could see up close through a glass bubble coming up through the bottom of the enclosure. We managed to get through most of the exhibit before the others walked over to the big building so we circled back to the beginning where we found Dad waiting for us with popcorn. The three of us shared it before heading back into the exhibit to catch up with Auntie Suz and the other kids. The very last thing we did was pet some rays. I got splashed a couple of times, but it was fun. Rays are cute. We all walked back to the first building together where Mum and I checked out a rattle
snake before it was time to go. Back at the trailer, we had some lunch and then it was time for our relatives to go. It was all very sad, since this was the last time we would see them on our trip. After they set out for their long drive, I hopped in the shower and then got all dressed up for my concert. The venue was in Norfolk, the town next door, so it was little bit of a drive to get there and then we had to stand in line for quite a while. I save our spot while Dad went off to get some dinner. Once we were inside, we had to establish a spot on the floor since it was just a small venue and there were no seats. While Dad stood at our spot, I went to go buy a t-shirt for myself. I was also going to get a beanie, but I only had 50$, which was 5$ under the price of both unfortunately. The first band to come on was PVRIS, pronounced Paris. They were pretty good but they had a bit of technical difficulty with the mic, which pissed off the lead singer, and even after that I couldn’t really understand her
because their sound was so loud. The next band was the Struts, who I’ve heard on the radio before. Now, I was expecting a British punk boy band, and the guys on drums and guitar fit that description. The lead singer, however, looked like Alice Cooper and had Austin Powers’ personality. They were really fun and they were really good with the crowd. I think they were Dad’s favourite act. In the break before the main act I went up to the bathroom and then checked my bag and jacket so I didn’t have to hold them. It took me a while to find Dad in all the bodies because he’s so short and we ended up moving to the back once I did, since it was making me uncomfortable and I couldn’t see anything. The back gave me quite a good view. Josh came on first in his balaclava and opened Heavydirtysoul on his drums before Tyler came out. They closed with Trees at the end. It was so good, I loved it. Plus, it was Tyler’s birthday so that was awesome. He only sang songs off two of their albums, but still, it was super amazing. I wish it had lasted longer. After it ended and I had a stressful moment in which I couldn’t find the ticket for my bag, we headed out. Out of the four concerts I’ve been to, I have to say that one has been my all time favourite. Peace out m8s.
