Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving to all you weird Americans because I’m pretty sure Thanksgiving all ready happened in real life and this is a fake one. Anyway. Mum decided she wanted to cook another Thanksgiving dinner but more in the American style. We had a bushel of collard greens, corn, sweet potatoes, stuffing and of course, turkey. Most of the day was spent at the trailer where I did homework (surprise, surprise) and we all did some cooking, all though Mum did most. We took a break in the afternoon to go for a walk on Virginia Beach with Kizzy. Well, the walk didn’t end too well since Isaac was being rude to Mum so she eventually just walked the other way and then Dad got mad at Isaac so the boys and I had to go back to the truck. After that, we didn’t know where Mum was and had no way of contacting her so we sat in the car for 45 minutes waiting. When Mum did show up, she was mad because we hadn’t contacted her and she hadn’t known where we were. All in all, it was a gong show and I was very happy to be there in the middle of all the drama. When we got back to the trailer Mum put the turkey in. Well, as it turns out, they bought half a turkey with bones and a stuffing cavity instead of just a turkey breast so Mum had to cook it quickly so it would be ready on time. It was still good, but not as good as it would have been if it had slow roasted all day. Oh well. The dinner turned out pretty well, all though the collard greens were extremely bitter since we hadn’t cooked them in anything except onions. After dinner, the boys and I cleaned up while watching the Flash and then it was time for bed. Peace out m8s.
