Earring Switchy Switchy

Isaac and I seem to be doing a lot of school work in the mornings. Also, also, it’s been six weeks since I got my lobes pierced again, so I can change them now! Not to dangly earrings though, just studs unfortunately. Anyway, Mum and Dad went to the Farmer’s Market in Saco at about 10:30am and then came back around lunchtime. We had some leftover turkey and cranberry sauce with brie cheese on bread and then set out for the Old Port in Portland. It was a neat little area and there were lots of neat shops and vendors along the streets. I bought a charm necklace at one of the booths with a ships wheel, a key and a dog bone on it over a white charm. It’s wonderful. Mum also

bought a new sweatshirt in one of the shops that she tried on while I attempted to play the ukuleles they had on display. They were all different colours, it was awesome. After we walked back to the car, Mum and Dad wanted to drive to the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, which is the only Shaker village still active today, with a whopping 10 residents. It still technically counts as a religion though, you only need a minimum of 8 believers. Unfortunately, the museum was closed for the season as Mum found out when she looked it up so we drove a couple minutes to the Victorian Mansion in Portland. Which was also closed. We ended up driving back to the trailer for dinner. It was Isaac’s turn to make dinner and he decided on Elvis Burgers, which are hamburgers with PB&J. He was only aloud to put said toppings on a little slice of Mum’s, Dad’s and my burgers because we wanted to try it before decided whether or not to put it on the

rest of the burger. All of us opted not to after our little taste tester. Sweet doesn’t really go with hamburgers. He “cooked” with Mum and Dad while I tried to make a fire. It kept sputtering out since the wood was wet but I finally got it going only to have it go out again during dinner. Then, once it caught again, I smacked my head on the inside of one of the trailer compartments while trying to find marshmallow cooker thingies. All in all, I didn’t have a good night. I think I was tired. Who would have guessed. Peace out m8s.
