This morning was extremely uneventful and we didn’t actually do anything until

lunch time when we walked down to the beach. Well, Mum, Isaac and I walked. Dad tried to skateboard. Emphasis on tried. The water wasn’t exactly warm at the beach, but Isaac and I were coached in the ways of wrestling by Dad. It was rather amusing, as I am still quite a bit stronger and faster than my brother, even though he has height on me now. Once Mum got hungry, we set back out for the trailer and a quick lunch before driving out to Lunenburg. The town is very cute, with lots of little shops and such, but not too many were open since the tourist season is quite done now. We walked down to the wharf to see the

Bluenose II. Dad debated getting a ride, but in the end we decided against it since Mum didn’t want to go and we had Kizzy. Afterwards, we walked around town, which is on a grid but is basically straight up and down if you take the streets perpendicular to the water. We got some coffees at a café, walked around a bit more and then started back. Our original plan was to go to Peggy’s Cove, but we had passed through the town of Mahone Bay on the way there and had noticed a large amount of dressed up scarecrows throughout the town, so we decided to look around there instead. Mum ran to the grocery store for some food items while the rest of us went wandering. Dad stopped to speak to a local woman who was putting up scarecrows and she informed us that, because of

the Super Moon and the eclipse, the tides in the bay are the most dramatic they’ve ever been. No one had ever been able to walk across the bottom of the bay from street to street before, so all the kids were jumping across the rocks and stuff. The boys and I wandered down the street a bit further and we came to a little antiques shop. Dad and I went it to look around while Isaac stayed with the dog and waited for Mum. There was a lot of cool stuff in the shop. When Mum got there, I bought a little sparkly bowtie to add to my collection of “Bowties Are Cool”. Then we went and got some pictures with the scarecrows. I have one of me with Dorothy and Toto, and there’s some more of the royal family, Little Red Riding Hood and some witches. It was supper time by the time we got back to the truck, so we went back to the trailer for the night. Peace out m8s.
