Sonya’s Blog - Day 98 - September 28th - Driving to Hubbards
It was time to say good-bye to Aunt Theresa and Uncle Fred and let them have their house back. Kizmet also had to say good-bye and she was a little confused about whether she was staying or going. She is sure going to miss the spoilage! I am not sure that Pixie will miss her all that much, but you never know.

We got the truck all packed up and the bikes back on and said our good-byes. We had about an hour drive to get back to the RV repair place so that we could get back our home (RV). I was sure looking forward to getting it back, I was tired of living out of my bag.
There was a little confusion at the dealership because the guy that runs the repair department was not in. We found out a little later it was because he was in the hospital as he had cut off some fingers on the weekend, OUCH!! When I write that my stomach turns - the poor guy. We were willing to put up with some confusion as he is putting up with much worse than that. They brought our RV out for us while everything was getting sorted out and we were able to pack it all up while we were waiting. It was going to take us about an hour, so it was good to get this done while the bill was done up. Everything worked out perfect, by the time we were done the bill was done and we were ready to roll.
Our next stop is Hubbards, Nova Scotia. We are staying at a campground in Hubbards that is close to the beach, but only about 40 minutes from Halifax. We also want to visit Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove and it is not far from all these places as well. It sounded like a good place to spend the next 4 days.
We made it to the campground without incident and got all set up. We then spent the rest of the afternoon unpacking and getting moved back in. We also explored around the campground. They have a lot of permanent trailers here, they use them as their cabins. It is only about a 5 minute walk to the sandy beach from the campground, so it is a perfect spot. We also had a campfire and hung out for awhile outside while it was still nice out. Isaac and Blake went out to get groceries later in the day to stock our fridge back up. They went the wrong way and traveled quite far before they found one. If they had gone the other way there was a small grocery store only 5 minutes away. Oops. They went along the coast, so it made the drive pleasant.
Back to our regular routine tomorrow.
