We had to be down in Port O’Basque by 8:00pm to catch our late night ferry back across to Cape Breton, but Mum and Dad would prefer we be there a little earlier just so we’re not driving in the dark once again. Along the way we decided to stop at the tablelands for a hike. We ended up at a lookout point over Bonne Bay, which is a bay that is quite deep, sometimes gets whales and has a layer of freshwater floating on the salt water, so it has quite the unique environment living in it. It also had some red chairs to sit in, but they were cold so we didn’t sit in them long. Then was the hike in Tablelands National Park. It was 2.5km long hike of pretty much straight uphill. I didn’t make it all the way to the top since I started to wheeze, which doesn’t feel good, and then couldn’t properly catch my breath, which is even worse. The last stretch of the hike is straight up Partridgeberry Hill, so I stopped right where the stairs started up again and waited for the other three to get up to the top and back down. The return journey was a lot easier on my lungs so I didn’t feel like I was going to die when we got back to the bottom which was

good. Then we went into the town of Woody Point for lunch. It’s right across one arm of Bonne Bay from Norris Point. We ended up getting freshly made sandwiches for the road. We also saw the coolest RV ever. It looked like a converted desert army vehicle and it had European plates so the owners had obviously shipped it overseas. It was pretty awesome I must say and it was about four feet off the ground thanks to the giant wheels. Oh yeah. After that stop we went the rest of the way to Port O’Basque. We got there at around 7:30pm and went to Alma’s Diner for dinner. It was some pretty good food. I got cod nuggets with fries so like fish and chips and I also did the rest of my English work for the day. When we parked our car at the ferry dock and went inside the terminal building where I did some math until it was time to get on the ferry. We went straight to our cabin this time and got ready for bed. We didn’t have windows overlooking the ocean in this one, since we were on the inside of the hall. I was in bed and asleep by the time the boat started to move but I didn’t sleep very well between Isaac snoring, Isaac getting out of bed, the boat rocking and being too hot or too cold. Then Mum didn’t account for the time change so we were woken up a half hour earlier than was necessary. Good times. Peace out m8s.
