A Journey Of Epic Proportions

It is the day of the ferry to the mystical land of Newfound. This morning Dad woke me up with horrible violin playing and we got packing before walking over to the bed and breakfast that owns our cottage for a homemade breakfast. We met some fellow Calgarians at the table and the adults had quite the conversation about the crappy price of oil and our trip. I got two poached eggs, some toast and two slices of bacon for breakfast plus some coffee. It was all eggscellent. Back in the cottage while the others packed up since I was done already I practiced the violin a bit. I can now play an approximation of and A major scale. I also bought both of Troye Sivan’s albums yusss score they were cheap. Then we headed into town and stopped at a Timmy’s near the ferry dock. Isaac and I did some homework and I just about finished chapter one in my math book. Then we went to try and get into the Heritage Museum. It seemed locked but the librarian opened it up just for us. Shockingly enough, North Sydney had a couple of great fires. In the back of the museum they had an old telegraph with a decoded message which was very cool. They also had a table filled with old magazines and newspapers, including Life issues from the

Second World War and a ’76 Eaton clothing catalogue. Lemme tell you, those styles were something else. We looked around for about an hour before heading out for lunch. Dad asked the librarian for places to eat and she recommended a couple on the street. The boys ended up going to the pizza place on the corner while Mum and I ate at the Black Spoon, a little bistro. Our waiter was the friendliest guy ever, he was great. I had a spinach salad with a fish sandwich. Fantastic. Afterwards we went to park the truck in the ferry parking lot. Then we waited around in the pavilion, did some more work and such. It was only about an hour until we got on the ferry and took our stuff up to our tiny cabin, which has double bunk beds and a little bathroom. I finished my math chapter and then we went out to the lounge. We all went out on the deck for a few minutes to get some pictures after the boat started moving. Then I went down to the movie theatre to watch Alexander And The Horrible No Good Very Bad Day or something similar I still haven’t figured out the title. It was really cute and about halfway through we hit choppier waters, so the boat started to rock. Even I felt a little sick but I quickly go over it once we sat down for dinner. I had another spinach salad. Mum had to go lie down after a bit since the rocking was getting to be too much. I had a lava cake for dessert before going up to the cabin myself. I did some blogging, caught right up until now and I’m about to shut off the laptop. Peace out m8s.
