Sonya’s Blog - Day 70 - August 31st - Driving to New Brunswick

We managed to get out by 9, so that was good.

We noticed that the tires on one side of the RV were really low, so we needed to look for a truck stop with air to fill those up. We found one not too far down the highway and Blake filled up the tires while I ran across the road to the Tim Hortons. The one tire needs to be replaced or repaired as it has a metal item imbedded in it. We are hoping that with the air topped up we can make it to New Brunswick before we have to change it. Right before we pulled away a trucker had pulled up behind us and honked his horn at us. He then got out and started jabbering away to me about blocking the road and then started swearing at me. We were not blocking the whole road as 2 semi’s and a dump truck had gone beside us and there was nowhere else to stop for the air thing. He had taken the corner too tight and couldn’t get around us, so he was really pleasant. Blake said a few choice words to him for swearing at me and then we hit the road.

The rest of the drive was good, not much happened. We stopped a couple of times for gas and for a break, but nothing exciting.

We arrived at our campsite by 5, we lost an hour driving into New Brunswick, so it was a bit later than we expected. We have a nice campsite on the river and the kids took Kizmet down there while Blake and I set up the RV. Everything went smoothly and we were set up in no time and cooking supper. We had burgers with Asparagus and potatoes.

Natasha wanted to get some more ear piercings and Blake wanted to go and look at TV’s because our TV broke in our RV. He called the place where we bought it from and the TV is covered under our 2 year warranty so Blake just has to go and find a new one and they will pay for it. Blake headed out with the kids and I stayed behind with Kizmet and cleaned up and posted my blogs from our last 2 days in Québec City.

Blake came back with the kids and Natasha got what she wanted, but it left no time for Blake to get what he wanted.

Natasha now has 3 earrings in each side and she would like one up top as well, but could not get that done at the same time. Her ears were pretty red. We watched an episode of Corner Gas (we have to use the computer until we get our new TV) and then went to bed.
