A Day For Falls

The fam had their AC/DC concert today, so we didn’t go into town today. Instead, we drove a few minutes down the road to La Chutes Des Chaudière, which is a waterfall in case you didn’t know what chute means. We took some stairs down to the river level first. The banks are almost completely formed from shale and granite. Kizmet was very happy about scampering around and chasing the ducks. We walked as close as we could get to the waterfalls, where you can feel the spray coming off them. We spent a couple of minutes down there before heading back up. We decided to walk across the suspension bridge spanning the river. Kizmet was terrified of it. I don’t think she could see the chainlink, so she wouldn’t go anywhere near the edges. On the other side we walked up to the top of the falls where they have some information on hydroelectricity and you can see the turbines. They aren’t in use right now, because they don’t use them in the summer months for some strange reason. Then we hiked back up across the

bridge to the truck. There were a lot of stairs done this day. Back at the trailer Mum and Isaac both had naps in preparation for their late night while I read and Dad posted some blogs. When Isaac woke up the boys and I threw a frisbee around until it was time to get supper ready. They headed out right after they had eaten, leaving me with Kizmet. I watched the Avengers and some of Labyrinth with David Bowie because Labyrinth is the greatest and did some reading and blogging. It was nice to have some time to myself. Peace out m8s.
