Today we had tea booked at the Chateau, so we wanted to spend our morning touring the citadel, but it was raining rather hard so we stayed in basically all morning, lazing around. We left at around one, but the parents mistakenly decided to follow our GPS into town, so we ended up at the bottom of the mountain with the Chateau at the very top. That was a fun hike. The tea was at 2:30pm, but we’d spent so long looking for parking that we were a few minutes late. It was really good tea though. I ordered a Chai and it came with scones and a little sandwich plate each. There

was a buffet for dessert but I had eaten so much, I couldn’t finish it all. Isaac was still hungry afterwards, shocking though that may be. When we finished, we decided to take an alternate route down the mountain, stopping at a little park with lots of canons on the edge of the wall overlooking the city and the St. Laurence. Then we stumbled upon a side street of Old Quebec we hadn’t explored yet. It was almost hidden from view, unless you happened to be staring right at

it because the street was so narrow. The shops up and down were mostly unique and locally owned. There was one that was all hats. There was also a little courtyard in the shadow of the cliff above us that Mum really loved. I had to go to the washroom at one point, so I followed the signs. It ended up being your everyday, multi-stall public bathroom excepting the fact that there was only one meant to be shared by both men and women. So that was… different. There were a few excellent street performers we saw in the maze of streets we took on the way back to our truck. One played several instruments at once, as well as sang and another was a very good piano player. We had another quiet night in once we’d rescued the Kizmet. Peace out m8s.
