We biked into Ottawa again today, but we got out a little

earlier and parked a little closer. Isaac, Dad and I went on ahead of Mum when she stopped at the bathroom so we could get the tickets for the tour. However, we ended up taking a wrong turn and got there at the same time as Mum anyways, which resulted in arguing. Yay. Our tour wasn’t until 1:50pm, so we took a hop on hop off tour around the city. It was in French and English, naturally, and we drove passed the Bank of Canada, where the gold is stashed, the National Library, where they have the original Superman comic, a few museums, Rideau Hall, and a few places in

Gatineau when we crossed the river. Ottawa really isn’t all that big. The tour of the Centre Block of the Parliament

was cool. We saw the library, the only part of the original building still standing after the fire in 1916 when one of the workers managed to close the iron doors. There were also some portraits of all the Prime Ministers to date and of quite a few monarchs, including a rather massive one of Queen Victoria. After the tour was over we got to go up the Peace Tower and look out upon the skyline of Ottawa and then we saw the Memorial Chamber at the bottom of the

elevator, commemorating all the wars from South Africa to Afghanistan. Afterwards we were going to go see the Byward Market area, but it was getting late so we just headed back to the trailer. After supper we went back downtown for the Northern Lights production on the front of the Parliament Building, which ended up being a history of Canada and the foundation of the Confederation, which was really cool and ended up being better than I thought it was going to be. It ended quite late so as soon as we got back, it was time for bed. Peace out m8s.
