The Longest Day : Part Two
Today was the day we drove to Owen Sound, the beautiful little town on the shores of Lake Huron. We had an early wake up time once again this morning, as we had a 7 hour drive today. Good times, good times. Isaac and I actually got into the truck in our pyjamas because of laziness and also comfort. Mum had a hard time actually putting the location into the truck without having it take us on a ferry, so that was a nice fifteen minutes of swearing and such at the GPS. We didn’t stop all that much for the first 5 hours, except for gas, until we got to Parry Sound, two hours from our final destination. Parry Sound, as it turns out, is the home of the famous Bobby Orr, so Dad, Isaac and I went to check out the museum they have for him whilst Mum tried to take the dog down to the water for a drink. It was pretty cool, but it was mostly just memorabilia and pictures and things, so we didn’t pay for entry. After we walked back, had lunch and started driving again, we had a fun incident when the outdoor kitchen door swung open when we tried to pull into a gas station, but nothing fell out or was ripped off because of the mercy of the goddess Me. That’s my explanation anyways. At the campsite, we had trouble with the hitch again, so I walked around with Kizmet and we met two kids who were very interestied in the dog. By the time we finally got all set up, it was pretty late so we headed off to bed. Peace out m8s.
