The Longest Day : Part One

Well, today we got up at 7:00am and drove to Sault Ste. Marie. Along the route, we made a stop at a white sand beach on the edge of Lake Michigan. Kizmet was scared of the waves, so she stayed behind with Mum and I ran along the water with Dad adn got myself completely soaked. It was awesome. We made quite good time, arriving at about 5:00pm Eastern, since we’d crossed another time zone. The campsite was really nice, especially for a KOA, but as it turned out, we hadn’t booked a campsite, so they had to give us the one best suited for our massive trailer. I cleaned out the truck and set up the power and water. We had trouble with the hitch once again, but it didn’t take nearly as long as the set up in Green Bay. While Mum heated up some spaghetti, Isaac talked me into going to the pool with him and Dad. Dad left first, and I followed shortly after, but Isaac took so long he didn’t have time to swim at all. I applaud him wildly. We ate and then watched an episode of Corner Gas before it was time for bed, with another long drive and early morning tomorrow. Peace out m8s.

Kizmet is scared of the waves as you can see by her posturing
