Non Facilis Descensus Averno

Today is another driving day, but a short one at that. Isaac, for some reason unfathomable to the average human brain, wanted Mum to go on some waterslides with him first thing, so I ended up staying back and helping Dad pack up while they were over at the park. The packing part actually went pretty smoothly for once, and we were almost done when Mum came back to escort me over on our bikes so I could ride the Hades 360 rollercoaster. Lemme tell you, don’t bother standing in line for almost two hours for a two minute ride if a) it’s not at Disney World/Disneyland and b) it takes seven minutes to unload and reload said ride. By the time we actually finished the rollercoaster, Mum was pissed off and it was after 1:00pm. The drive to Jellystone Park in Milwaukee wasn’t all that bad. I watched Lord of the Rings and read a bit. It was only a two and a half hour ride after all. The set up went ok too, for once, with just a bit of difficulty backing into the site. We didn’t end up doing all that much. Mum, Dad and I biked over to the general store to grab some food and explore around a bit. The campsite, resort really, is quite big and it’s only a half hour from the city, so lots of locals come out for the weekends. It’s like Cow Lake near Rocky but slightly better because they have immediate check in service and waterslides. Mum and Dad sent Isaac and I to the pool after I walked Kizzy so they could make supper, but we must have only been there for about 15 minutes, because Isaac didn’t want to swim by himself. We ate and then I did the dishes while Dad lit a fire. I went out to join them a while later and by this time it was quite dark out. They’d been playing a story telling game, so I roasted a hotdog over the fire and Isaac finished his rather interesting version of the Three Little Pigs. The boys went inside first and Mum and I joined them shortly later. Peace out m8s.
