The Waterpark Capital Of The... World

Since our extended family was driving for almost ten hours they had to leave relatively early. I had to drag my lazy butt out of bed at 7:30 in the morning so I could say goodbye to them all. When they left, everything seemed very suddenly quiet, shocking though that may be. We all had a nice calm breakfast and started to pack up to leave. It was only a two hour drive to Milwaukee, so we could take our time. I didn’t help all that much with the first part of the cleanup because my stomach started to hurt for no apparent reason every time I stood up, so I sat on the couch for a while, then did easy stuff, like vacuuming and making lattes. Once we had everything done, except for the actual hooking up, Dad made us all go out and play four holes of frolf, one for each of us. I lost. We hooked up the truck, which took some time, and we were on our way. Luckily, before we left Mum took a look at our city schedule. It turned out our next destination was, in fact, the Dells, not Milwaukee, so we had to drive in the other direction. It’s a good thing Mum noticed before we left so we didn’t have to turn around on the highway. Isaac was disappointed because he wasn’t going to get as much time at the water park. Poor baby. Getting out of the KOA was a huge pain as there were two RV’s in the path of our departure. We had to sit at the entrance/exit for a really long time, which sucked. The drive to the Dells didn’t take very long at all. I read, blogged, read and had a conversation with Grandma and Grandpa. The reception kind of sucked, but we succeeded in communicating sufficiently. Finding the parking lot disguised as a campground was a hassle, we drove past it the first time round, and setting up the trailer frickin’ sucked because the hitch wouldn’t come unlocked, but it all worked out in the end. We all took our bikes across the street to the park as soon as we ate some supper, using our late night privileges as resort guests. We went right to Zeus the rollercoaster, which was really rickety and it hurt, and then were some of the last people to slide into line for one of the gocart courses. Those were really the only two rides Mum and I did, but the boys were in their swim trunks so they decided to do one of the tube slides that was still open at the outdoor waterpark. We then wandered for a bit, bought some churros, before we began to head back, stopping to ride the Trojan Horse gocarts right before we left (I lied, Mum and I did three rides). Unfortunately, the track that actually went through the horse was closed off, but it was fun all the same. On our arrival back to the trailer I made some popcorn sans butter and the boys and I sat down on the couch to finish watching Star Wars Episode IV : A New Hope. I had forgotten how fast the ending was after Obi-Wan died. Then it was time for bed. I stayed up a little later, doing some drawing and reading some more of City of Ashes before I too gave in to the pull of sleep. Peace out m8s.
