Six Hours In A Car, Hurrah!

So today wasn’t all that exciting as it was indeed a traveling day. Five hour drives for the win am I right. We almost got out of camp on time, only fifteen minutes tardy, which is quite the improvement to our usual two hour delays. We headed into town so dearest brother mine could show his completed Junior Rangers booklet in exchange for a badge to sew on his Scout blanket. Then we kind of wandered around West Yellowstone for a while and went in a souvenir shop so Isaac could buy his collectable item and I could grab some post cards for my scrapbook. We then hit the road once again. We were scarcely and hour and a half into it and Isaac was already miserable and complaining, when we stopped for some traditional western BBQ at lunchtime. My burnt ends sandwich was delicious by the way. The rest of our journey was highly uneventful. We stopped again at a gas station (whoopdifrickindoo) and I finished The Time Traveler’s Wife, started Sarah’s Key and did some writing which is always good. The land on the border of Montana and into Wisconsin is very pretty. It reminds me of the badlands, albeit grass covered badlands. Sixish hours after our initial departure, here we are in Buffalo, Wisconsin at 7:53pm after Mum parked our big rig for the first time. Today had kind of been boring, but that is to be expected on the occasion we do drive for over five hours. Our next leg of the journey is only three hours long and is to happen on the morrow. Oh, interesting fact about the region, we are very near the point of Custer’s Last Stand at Little Bighorn. Time to settle in for the night. Look! For I have caught up with the times! Peace out m8s.
